I grew up in the Midwest and have lived in Athens, Georgia for over 40 years. Teaching has been a passion for me since I taught middle school and high school math in the 1970s. After graduate school, I was a professor at the University of Georgia for 24 years in middle school teacher education. Much of my work as a professor focused on issues of gender, race, and social class in middle school mathematics classrooms.
Before I retired from the university, I became very interested in alternative healing modalities, especially approaches that use dowsing as a tool. I began a healing practice working with individual clients in 1998. A few years ago I began to study with Desda Zuckerman. Her deep and detailed understanding of the Human Energy Structure was intriguing and the healing I experienced from receiving SAEM sessions was profound. SAEM has helped me continue to grow into more of who I was meant to be. I have been taking classes with Desda since 2019 and have become a Certified Practitioner of SAEM. I love working with SAEM clients and I love continuing to expand my understanding of the Human Energy Structure.
I currently lead an in-person study group in Athens, Georgia, about the basics of SAEM. We meet regularly and explore various ways to bring greater balance and wellbeing to the Human Energy Structure. During these meetings, I can see people transform before my eyes, as they become brighter and more relaxed.

Examples of material I’ve taught: pendulum dowsing; how to do clearings for people and homes; undergraduate and graduate college classes in middle school education; middle school and high school mathematics.
Currently I’m leading a study group to introduce basic concepts of Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine. - I approach teaching and healing as a collaboration between the teacher/healer and the client. The client/student is not a passive recipient of information or healing. They are deeply involved in the process of figuring out what they want to learn or heal, and making progress toward those goals.

SAEM was developed by Desda Zuckerman over many decades of study and exploration. She has mapped the sacred anatomy and developed approaches to bring greater health to a person physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually.
Living life in modern times we experience stresses, injury, trauma, and pain, along with joys, delights, and happiness. We may be born into happy, supportive families or families with serious challenges, or, perhaps a combination of both. Understanding the sacred anatomy of our Human Energy Structure (HES) can help us identify where the HES needs support, healing, or repair. Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine offers effective clearings, alignments, and procedures to help people find more balance, health, and authenticity.
SAEM helps us see that we are much more than the physical self we can touch. Beyond the physical body, we have a human electromagnetic field, and beyond that, more subtle aspects of our HES. Out 15 or 20 feet from the physical body in all directions is the Edge of the entire HES. And the most effective way to live life is from the Edge of our Human Energy Structure. Living life from the Edge is an essential step for growth as a spiritual being in a physical body.
